Hello, my name is Drew! I’m a freelance illustrator, a dog dad, and an avid home cook.
I graduated from Pacific Northwest College of Art in 2014 with a BFA in Illustration. I worked as a chalk board artist at Whole Foods Market and as a designer for a sign fabrication company before I took the leap into full-time illustration in the Fall of 2020.
My illustrations are composed of organic shapes, artful textures, and vibrant colors. Visual inspiration for my art comes from my love of mid-century illustration and my style is the product of my exploration in blending traditional and digital media. It’s important to me to push the boundaries of my tools and try new ways of making.
I live just outside of Portland, Oregon with my wife and our three small dogs. When I’m not in the studio, I like to go for a hike, cook dinner for my family, or scare myself silly with a good horror movie.
It has been an incredible experience illustrating for magazines, brands, and children’s books. I am so grateful for the wonderfully talented people I’ve connected with along the way. I think that’s been my favorite part of the job. Here’s hoping we’ll have the opportunity to collaborate in the future. Thanks for taking the time to view my portfolio.
